#RenuRasoi  #Aluchi Vadi  #Steamed  #Colocasia #Leaf  #Snack Nowadays, during the monsoon season, very tender and small colocasia (arbi/taro) leaves are growing in my pot.  Since I had very little time today, I prepared this quick version of Aluchi Vadi.  It has the same delicious traditional taste but is much easier and faster to make. Ingredients (1 cup = 150 ml) *Washed & finely chopped colocasia (taro) leaves, – 2 cups *Tamarind – a lemon-sized piece *Gram flour (besan) – 1 cup *Rice flour – ½ cup *Red chilli powder – 3 teaspoons *Salt – 1½ teaspoons *Sugar – 1 teaspoon *Coriander powder – 3 teaspoons *Carom seeds (ajwain) – ¼ teaspoon *Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon *White sesame seeds – 1 tablespoon Method 1.  This is a traditional Maharashtrian recipe, which can be prepared with easily available items in the kitchen.
 This rice is full of flavours and very tasty ... 😋😋
 This Sakhar Bhat is prepared on all occasions and especially in Weddings as well as Munj/thread ceremony function.
 Though this is not so popular now a days. 
  Let's see how to do it ..
 Ingredients
 *Raw Rice ... 1 Cup
1 Cup .. 150 ml
 *Sugar ... 1 Cup
 *Home made Ghee ... 3 tbsp
 * Turmeric ... half a pinch.. optional
 *Cloves ... 4
 * Green cardamom pearl's/seeds ... 2 cardamom seeds
 * Dry fruits, saffron threads ... 20-25
 Method...
 * Wash the rice, drain the water and set it aside for 30 minutes. Preferably use any flavourful raw Rice...like Basmati, Chinnor or Ambemohor variety. 
* Then heat 2 tbsp ghee and add cloves, cardamom seeds and turmeric powder. Add rice and mix well. Immediately add 2 cups of warm water and cook the rice, till water gets absorbed. Turn off the gas and cover with the lid.
 * While the rice is warm, mix sugar and saffron threads in it and let it cook again on low flame.Sugar will get dissolve and absorbed in the rice. 
The saffron threads are crushed on the palm, You can add a teaspoon of milk.
 * Turn off the heat, add the remaining one tablespoon of ghee and mix well. Let all flavours get infused into it, for at least 30 minutes.
 * Then add cashew nuts, almond slices and raisins to your liking and serve
 *This rice tastes better when it is cool.

#साखर #भात

हे एक पारंपारिक पक्वान्न आहे, पटकन होतो. चवदार चविष्ट लागतो...😋😋

 मला तर आठवते अनेक वर्षें लग्नाच्या सीमांत पूजनाच्या जेवणात पक्वान्न म्हणून साखर भातच असायचा... 

आज-काल फार करत नाही, पण या पद्धतीने होणारा साखरभात झटपट होतो व अतिशय सुमधुर लागतो.

या साखर भाताला बैठा साखरभात असे पण म्हणतात...

 कसा करायचा ते बघूया...

साहित्य...

*तांदूळ... एक वाटी

*साखर... एक वाटी

*साजुक तूप ...३ टेबलस्पून

*हळद... अर्धा चिमुट... ऐच्छिक

**लवंग ...४

* हिरव्या वेलची चे दाणे...२वेलची चे

*सुकामेवा,केशर धागे... आवडीनुसार

कृती...

*तांदूळ धुवून पाणी निथळून ३० मिनिटे ठेवावे.

*मग २ टेबलस्पून तुप गरम करून त्यात लवंग, वेलची दाणे व हळद घालून परतावे. तांदूळ घालून छान एकत्र करून लगेच २ वाटी पाणी घालून मोकळा भात शिजवून घ्या. झाकण ठेवून गॅस बंद करा. 

*भात कोमट असतानाच त्यात साखर व केशर धागे मिसळून परत शिजवायला ठेवावे , साखर विरघळून पाक होतो, तो आटेपर्यंत मंद आचेवर शिजवावे. केशराचे धागे हातावर चुरून घातले आहे.  तुम्ही एक टिस्पून दुधात खलून घालू शकता.

*गॅस बंद करून, उरलेले एक टेबलस्पून तुप घालून छान हलक्या हाताने एकत्र करून मुरू द्या. ३० मिनिटे तरी मुरू द्या.

*नंतर आपल्या आवडीनुसार काजू, बदामाचे काप व किसमिस घालून सर्व्ह करावे करा ‌

*गार भात अजून चवदार चविष्ट लागतो
