#RenuRasoi  #Aluchi Vadi  #Steamed  #Colocasia #Leaf  #Snack Nowadays, during the monsoon season, very tender and small colocasia (arbi/taro) leaves are growing in my pot.  Since I had very little time today, I prepared this quick version of Aluchi Vadi.  It has the same delicious traditional taste but is much easier and faster to make. Ingredients (1 cup = 150 ml) *Washed & finely chopped colocasia (taro) leaves, – 2 cups *Tamarind – a lemon-sized piece *Gram flour (besan) – 1 cup *Rice flour – ½ cup *Red chilli powder – 3 teaspoons *Salt – 1½ teaspoons *Sugar – 1 teaspoon *Coriander powder – 3 teaspoons *Carom seeds (ajwain) – ¼ teaspoon *Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon *White sesame seeds – 1 tablespoon Method 1. Delicious and Yummmy 😋😋😋
You can have it in your regular meals...as well as for party and get-together too....
Serve it with Poori, Paratha, Phulka or even with Jeera Rice....it goes very well with either of them.
This is not at all oily or heavy preperation....
Ingredients...
*Green peas/ Matar... frozen or fresh...3 Cups
1 Cup...150 ml.
*Paneer... 250 grams
*Onion chopped... 1 Cup
*Tomatoes chopped... 1.5 Cup
*Muskmelon/ Magaj seeds... 2 tbspn
*Green chillies... 3
*Grated ginger... 1 tsp
*Garlic cloves... 4
*Oil... 5 tbspn
*Red Chilli Powder... 1 tsp
*Coriander seeds powder... 1 tbspn
*Cumin seeds... 1/4 tsp
*Turmeric powder... 1 tsp
*Salt... 1.5 tsp
*Sugar... 1/2 tsp... optional
*Homemade Ghee...1 tbspn
*Homemade garam masala... 1/4 tsp
*Chopped coriander leaves... 1 tbspn
Method...
*For gravy...
In a mixer jar add Magaj, garlic, grated ginger, green chillies, chopped Onion and tomatoes.
Grind to a smooth paste without adding water.
*Dice the Paneer.
*In a heavy bottom pan heat Oil, add cumin seeds, after it crackles add turmeric powder & onion tomato paste. Cook on low flame till oil leaves the sides of the pan. Keep stirring occasionally.
*Add Red Chilli Powder, Coriander seeds powder, Salt, Sugar and Garam Masala. Mix properly.
*Also add 1 tablespoon Ghee and green peas. Saute on low flame for 2...3 minutes. Add 3 Cups hot water.
*Cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
*Add paneer cubes and cook for 5 minutes.
*Done.
*Garnish with chopped Coriander leaves.
*Serve with Poori, Paratha, Phulka or Jeera Rice.
Note... 1) You can cook on medium flame too, but low flame cooking tastes yummmy 😋.
2) Instead of Muskmelon/ Magaj seeds you can add Cashew nuts.
But muskmelon seeds are more healthy.
3) Adding hot water helps in cooking as well as makes it tastier.

 * हिरवे वाटाणे / मटार ... फ्रोजन किंवा ताजे ... 3 वाटी
 1वाटी ... 150 मि.ली.
 *पनीर ... 250 ग्रॅम
 *कांदा चिरलेला ... 1 वाटी
 *टोमॅटो चिरलेला ... 1.5 वाटी
 * खरबूज/ मगज बी ... 2 टेबलस्पून
 * हिरव्या मिरच्या .... 3
 * किसलेले आले ... 1 टीस्पून
 * लसूण पाकळ्या ....4
 * तेल ... 5 टेबलस्पून
 * लाल तिखट ... 1 टीस्पून
 * धने पूड ... 1टेस्पून
 * जिरे ... 1/4 टीस्पून
 * हळद ... 1 टीस्पून
 * मीठ ... 1.5 टीस्पून
 * साखर ... 1/2 टीस्पून ... ऐच्छिक
 * साजूक तूप ... 1 टेबलस्पून
 * घरगुती गरम मसाला ... 1/4 टीस्पून
 * चिरलेली कोथिंबीर ... 1 टेबलस्पून
 पद्धत ...
 * ग्रेव्हीसाठी ...
 मिक्सरच्या भांड्यात मगज, लसूण, किसलेले आले, हिरवी मिरची, चिरलेला कांदा आणि टोमॅटो घाला.
 पाणी न घालता गुळगुळीत  वाटून घ्या.
 * पनीर चे चौकोनी तुकडे करून घ्यावेत.
 कढईत तेल गरम करून त्यात जिरे घालावे व त्यात हळद आणि कांदा टोमॅटोचे वाटण
 घालावी.  बाजूने तेल सुटेपर्यंत मंद आचेवर शिजू द्यावे.  अधूनमधून परतत रहा. 
 *नंतर लाल तिखट, कोथिंबीर, मीठ, साखर आणि गरम मसाला घाला.  नीट एकत्र करा.
 *तूप आणि हिरवे वाटाणे घाला.  2 ... 3 मिनिटे मंद आचेवर परतून घ्या.  3 वाटी गरम पाणी घाला.
 * मंद आचेवर 10 मिनिटे शिजवा.
 * पनीर चे चौकोनी तुकडे घाला आणि 5 मिनिटे शिजवा.
 * चिरलेली कोथिंबीर घालावी.
 * पुरी, पराठा, फुलका किंवा जीरा राईस सोबत सर्व्ह करा.
 टीप ...  1)आपण मध्यम आचेवर देखील शिजवू शकता, परंतु मंद आचेवर शिजवलेल्या भाजी ची  चव जास्त स्वादिष्ट लागते.
 2)खरबुज/मगज बी च्या ऐवजी काजू घालू शकता.
 परंतु मगज बी अधिक पौष्टिक आहे.
 3)गरम पाणी घातल्याने भाजी पटकन शिजते व जास्त चवदार लागते.
