#RenuRasoi  #Aluchi Vadi  #Steamed  #Colocasia #Leaf  #Snack Nowadays, during the monsoon season, very tender and small colocasia (arbi/taro) leaves are growing in my pot.  Since I had very little time today, I prepared this quick version of Aluchi Vadi.  It has the same delicious traditional taste but is much easier and faster to make. Ingredients (1 cup = 150 ml) *Washed & finely chopped colocasia (taro) leaves, – 2 cups *Tamarind – a lemon-sized piece *Gram flour (besan) – 1 cup *Rice flour – ½ cup *Red chilli powder – 3 teaspoons *Salt – 1½ teaspoons *Sugar – 1 teaspoon *Coriander powder – 3 teaspoons *Carom seeds (ajwain) – ¼ teaspoon *Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon *White sesame seeds – 1 tablespoon Method 1. This simple veg tastes Yummmm 😋
Especially in Summer it is available in plenty.... very healthy... rich in Fibre... helps to reduce cholesterol.
Only the thing is that it takes lot's of time for cleaning...and when cooked get's reduced in quantity and finishes quickly...😃😃
Ingredients...
*Red Amaranth...250 grams
*Chopped Onion...1 Cup
*Red Chilli...3
*Salt...1/2 tsp
*Oil...1 tbsp
*Mustard and Cumin Seeds...1/4 tsp each
Method...
*Wash atleast 4..5 times thoroughly Red Amaranth...let it dry...chopp it roughly.
*Brake the Red Chillies.
*Heat Oil in a pan add Mustard n Cumin seeds, after it splutters add broken Red Chillies, Chopped Onion.
*Saute it for 3..4 minutes.
*Add chopped Red Amaranth, Salt.
*Cook till dry sauteing occasionally.
*Serve hot with Roti n Buttermilk.
Goes well with Dal Rice... Buttermilk combi too..
