Same quantity of un soaked dal If dal is 3/4 cup...water should be 3/4 th cup For tadka *Oil...2 tbspn *Mustard seeds... 1/2 tsp *Jeera... 1/2 tsp *Asafoetida powder/ Hing...1/4 tsp *Turmeric ...a pinch (optional) *Green chillies... 4-5(optional) For garnish... *Chopped coriander...1 tbspn *Grated coconut... 1 tbspn Method *Wash and soak both the dal together for 2.5 hours. *Measure the water. Hing Chutney
This Chutney is very flavourful & tasty too...ЁЯШЛЁЯШЛЁЯШЛ
Goes very well with Idli, Dosa or in regular Meals too.
Very easy to prepare...
Ingredients...
*Grated fresh Coconut...1/2 Cup
*Roasted Chana Dal/ Dalya...1/2 Cup
*Red Chilli Powder...1.5 tsp
*Salt...1/4 tsp or little more
*Tamarind Pulp...3 tsp
*Asafoetida/Hing...1/4 tsp
For tempering...
*Oil... 2 tsp
*Mustard Seeds...1/4 tsp
*Curry leaves...5..6
Method...
*Grind in a Mixer Jar roasted Chana Dal without adding water.
*Add grated Coconut, Red Chilli Powder, Asafoetida, Salt, Tamarind Pulp. Grind all without adding water.
*Add 3/4 th Cup water, grind to a smooth paste.
*Pour Chutney in a pot.
*For tempering...
*Heat Oil in a pan, add Mustard Seeds, let it splutter, switch off the gas. Add Curry Leaves.
*Pour this over the chutney. Cover with the lid immediately to infuse the flavours. Remove the lid, mix properly.
*Serve with Idli, Dosa or in regular Meals.
