#Renursoi

#Thalipeeth

This is a traditional Maharashtrian dish prepared with multigrain flour.

Generally we prepare a specially roasted flour called as "thalipita chi bhajani"

 But when there is no bhajani in the house, this thalipeeth can be made with the following mixed flour.

It is very crispy and tastes beautiful and tasty.

 This thalipeeth is made of jawari flour, jawari flour should be eaten in summer. This is prepared with  lots of onion and coriander both are cool in nature.

 The pungent smell of onion wafts through the house... the Thalipeeth tastes delicious

 Let's see Thalipeeth made with mixed flour..

 One cup...150 ml.

 * Sorghum/Jawar flour... one cup

 *Rice flour... half cup

 *Besan ...half cup

 * Chopped Coriander.. Two Tablespoon

 *Chopped onion ...one cup

 *Chop green chillies...three

*Sesame seeds...1 tsp

 *Red chilli powder...one and half tsp

 *Salt ... one and half ateaspoon

 * Coriander powder...one tsp

 *A pinch of caraway seeds

 *Turmeric ...one fourth tsp

 * Coconut oil... 1/4 th Cup...for roasting

 Method

 * Combine sorghum and rice flour, and besan and roast in a pan on low flame for two to three minutes.  When it cools, mix all the other ingredients except oil, slowly add water and make a soft dough.

 *The dough should be so soft, that you can spread it by patting with your hands. Spread oil on the iron tawa/ pan and pat the tennis ball size dough with wet hand's. Use of water makes it easy to spread.

 * Thalipeeth is thicker than normal roti. If you take dough that is the size of a tennis ball, spread it upto five to six inches and pat the thalipeeth.
