#RenuRasoi  #Aluchi Vadi  #Steamed  #Colocasia #Leaf  #Snack Nowadays, during the monsoon season, very tender and small colocasia (arbi/taro) leaves are growing in my pot.  Since I had very little time today, I prepared this quick version of Aluchi Vadi.  It has the same delicious traditional taste but is much easier and faster to make. Ingredients (1 cup = 150 ml) *Washed & finely chopped colocasia (taro) leaves, – 2 cups *Tamarind – a lemon-sized piece *Gram flour (besan) – 1 cup *Rice flour – ½ cup *Red chilli powder – 3 teaspoons *Salt – 1½ teaspoons *Sugar – 1 teaspoon *Coriander powder – 3 teaspoons *Carom seeds (ajwain) – ¼ teaspoon *Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon *White sesame seeds – 1 tablespoon Method 1. Takla / Taikila/Tarota also called Cassia Tora is a wild leafy vegetable that makes its way into the local markets during monsoons. It is easily available in Market now a days.
This leafy veg is a favourite in Adivasi tribe, Vidarbha, Konkani people etc.
Takla is extremely beneficial for health, has great medicinal value and consuming it helps to keeps away monsoon related illness .
This seasonal vegetable should be consumed while the season lasts.
Ingredients...
*Takla leaves.... wash and chopped...2 Cups
*Sour Buttermilk...1 Cup
*Chickpea flour...1/2 Cup
*Oil...1 tbsp
*Garlic peeled... 8
*Green Chillies chopped...4
*Mustard n Cumin Seeds...1/4 tsp each
*Fenugreek Seeds...8
*Salt...1/4 tsp
*Turmeric powder...1/4 tsp
Method...
*Mix Buttermilk and Chickpea flour without forming lumps.
*Heat Oil in a Pan, add Fenugreek, Mustard n Cumin Seeds, after it splutters add chopped Garlic and Green Chillies.
*Let the Garlic be light pink, then add Turmeric Powder & chopped Takla leaves.
*Cook till soft.
*Add Buttermilk mix and Salt.
*Cover with the lid and cook for 3..4 minutes.
*Done... Switch off the gas.
*Goes well with Roti or Bhakari.

टाकळा किंवा तरोटा ही रान भाजी फार औषधी आहे. पावसाळ्यात ही मोकळ्या मैदानात किंवा रस्त्याच्या कडेला भरपूर प्रमाणात उगवलेली दिसत असे.
ही भाजी मोसमी आहे व जेंव्हा पण बाजारात मिळते तेव्हा जरूर खाल्ली पाहिजे, पावसाळ्यात होणाऱ्या रोगांपासून आपले संरक्षण करते.
रानात राहणारे आदिवासी लोक, वैदर्भिय, व कोकणी लोक ही भाजी आवर्जून खातात.
आजकाल बाजारात ही कोवळी असतानाच विकत मिळते. फक्त पाने घेऊन, स्वच्छ धुऊन मग डाळ... कांदा... लसूण ह्या पैकी एक किंवा सगळे घालून भाजी करतात.

मी ह्याची पाने घालून धिरडे केलेत व आज जरा वेगळ्या पद्धतीने भाजी केली. मस्तच चवदार लागली...

*टाकळ्याची पाने स्वच्छ धुऊन व चिरून ...दोन वाट्या
*आंबट ताक...1 वाटी
*बेसन ....अर्धी वाटी
*तेल ...एक टेबलस्पून
*लसूण पाकळ्या... 8
*हिरवी मिरची चिरून...4
*मोहरी व जिरे ...पाव टीस्पून  प्रत्येकी
*मेथी दाणे ....8
*हळद... पाव टीस्पून
*मीठ... पाव टी स्पून
कृती....
*बेसन व ताक गुठळी न होऊ देता छान कालवून घ्या.
*एका कढईत तेल तापवून मेथी, मोहरी व जिरे घालून तडतडल्यावर लसूण व हिरवी मिरची घाला.
*लसूण गुलाबी खमंग झाला की हळद व टाकळ्याची पाने घाला आणि मऊ होईपर्यंत परतावे.
*ताक व बेसनाचे मिश्रण , मीठ घालून छान एकत्र करा. झाकण ठेवून  तीन चार मिनिटे वाफ येऊ द्या.
*पोळी किंवा भाकरी सोबत ही भाजी छान लागते.
