#RenuRasoi  #Aluchi Vadi  #Steamed  #Colocasia #Leaf  #Snack Nowadays, during the monsoon season, very tender and small colocasia (arbi/taro) leaves are growing in my pot.  Since I had very little time today, I prepared this quick version of Aluchi Vadi.  It has the same delicious traditional taste but is much easier and faster to make. Ingredients (1 cup = 150 ml) *Washed & finely chopped colocasia (taro) leaves, – 2 cups *Tamarind – a lemon-sized piece *Gram flour (besan) – 1 cup *Rice flour – ½ cup *Red chilli powder – 3 teaspoons *Salt – 1½ teaspoons *Sugar – 1 teaspoon *Coriander powder – 3 teaspoons *Carom seeds (ajwain) – ¼ teaspoon *Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon *White sesame seeds – 1 tablespoon Method 1. This is a 100% pure veg dish with a nice combination of Carbohydrates & Proteins...
Very easy to prepare and tasty too....
You can carry it in tiffins too...
Saves your time in eating...
When supported with Salad and Fruits will make a square Meal...☺️
Ingredients....
For outer covering...
*Rice Flour...1 Cup
*Sour Buttermilk...1 Cup
*Water...1 Cup
*Salt...1 tsp
*Oil...1 tbsp
For stuffing.....
*Chickpea flour...1/2 Cup
*Salt...1/4 tsp
*Asafoetida Powder...1/4 tsp
*Water...1/2 Cup
*Oil...4 tsp
Method...
For stuffing...
*Mix Chickpea flour, Water, Salt and Asafoetida Powder well.
*Heat 4 tsp Oil in a pan , when it gets heated, pour the Chickpea flour batter and stir constantly.
*Within 2..3 minutes it will become a lump.
*Switch off the gas. Let it cool.
*Prepare Six equal Lemon size balls and keep aside.  Cover the Pan.
For Outer Covering...
*Mix the Buttermilk, Salt and Rice flour without forming lumps.
*Add Water if necessary. Remember we have to use total Water only one cup.
*Heat the Oil in a Pan....add 1 Cup or remaining  water...let it boil.
*When it will start boiling add already prepared Rice flour batter.
*Mix thoroughly and cover with a lid for 2 minutes.
*Switch off the gas.
*When the Rice flour is little warm, make a nice dough,  divide it into six equal parts.
*Cover the Chickpea balls by Rice flour into oval shape.
*While serving or carrying in Tiffins cut into Two parts, Garnish with chopped Coriander, sprinkle with Red Chilly Powder OR Garlic Chutney OR Piri Piri Masala as per your choice.
*They tastes nice.

साहित्य...
वरील आवरणासाठी....
*तांदूळ पीठ.... एक वाटी
*आंबट ताक.... एक वाटी
*पाणी.... एक वाटी
*तेल ...एक टेबल स्पून
*मीठ... एक टिस्पून
आतील सारण
*बेसन... अर्धी वाटी
*पाणी... अर्धी वाटी
*तेल ...4 टिस्पून
*मीठ...1/4 टिस्पून
*हिंग पूड....1/4 टिस्पून
कृती...
आतील सारण...
*बेसन... पाणी.. मीठ व हिंग पुड सगळे एकत्र करून घ्या.... गुठळी होऊ नये.
*एका कढईत तेल तापवून वरील कालवून ठेवलेले बेसन पीठ घालून सतत हलवत रहा.
*दोन तीन मिनिटे छान घट्ट गोळा होईपर्यंत शिजवून घ्या.
* हे मिश्रण गार झाल्यावर, छोट्या लिंबाएवढे सहा गोळे करून घ्यावेत. एका भांड्यात झाकुन ठेवून द्या.
वरील आवरणासाठी...
*तांदुळ पिठात आंबट ताक व मीठ घालून कालवावे. गरज वाटल्यास जे एक वाटी पाणी आपण वापरणार आहोत त्यातील थोडं पाणी घालू शकता.
*एका कढईत तेल गरम करून एक वाटी/ उरलेले पाणी घालून उकळी आल्यावर त्यात कालवलेले तांदुळाचे पीठ घालून छान एकत्र करून घ्या.
*कढ‌ईवर झाकण ठेवून 2 मिनिटांनी गॅस बंद करा.
*थोडं कोमट असतानाच छान गोळा करून सहा सारखे भाग करा.
*आता बेसनाच्या गोळा घेऊन, त्यावर वरून तांदुळाच्या पिठाचे आवरण करून छान अंडाकृती आकार द्या.
*डब्यात देताना दोन भाग करून नुसते कोथिंबीर घालून, वरून थोडे तिखट किंवा लसुण चटणी किंवा पिरी पिरी मसाला भुरभुरून घ्या.
*आपल्या आवडीनुसार कमी-जास्त प्रमाणात घेऊन मस्त आनंदाने खा.
*मस्तच चवदार लागतात 😋
