High in fiber, helps digestion, and keeps you full longer.   Ingredients *Broccoli florets – 1 cup *Broccoli stems (peeled & chopped) – 1/4 cup *Almonds – 10–12 *Onion (chopped) – 1/4 cup *Garlic – 4 pods *Milk – 1/2 cup *Water – 1 cup *Sugar – 1 tsp *Salt – 1/2 tsp *Black pepper powder – 1/4 tsp *Homemade ghee – 2 tsp *Chopped almonds – For garnish Method *Chop the almonds. *Take a thick-bottom pan, add ghee and let it melt. *Add chopped onion and garlic, sprinkle a pinch of salt. Appe also known as Appo, Paniyaram.
These mildly sweet Appe with Banana and Coconut are crispy, tasty and easy to make.
Made from easily available items at home.
Can be used as a offering to God, for Tiffins, as a Sweet Dish...
I have learnt this Recipe from my friend Vinaya Prabhu...
Ingredients...
*Semolina ...1 cup
*Wheat flour ...1 cup
*Finely Chopped Jaggery ...2 cups
*Banana ..1
*Grated Coconut ..3/4 th cup
*Water ..1 cup
*Green Cardamom powder.. 1 teaspoon
Method...
*Grind from mixer Banana, Jaggery, Coconut, Green Cardamom Powder by adding water to a smooth paste.
*Pour this mix in a pan, mix Wheat flour and Semolina slowly without forming lumps.
*Let it rest for 15 minutes.
*Heat Appe pan , add Ghee...pour one teaspoon mix, drizzle with Ghee from all the sides, cover with the lid, remove the lid, flip the Appe and let it be crispy  from another side.
*Your sweet Appe are ready...
*They taste better when warm as well as cool.
*Here I have used Dry grated Coconut...you can use fresh coconut if wish so.

श्रावण महिना म्हणजे व्रत वैकल्य व सणा सुदीचे दिवस.तसे तर प्रत्येक सणाला करायचे पक्वान्न ठरलेलेच असते, पण तरीही उपास सोडताना, मुलांना डब्यात खाऊ म्हणून देऊ शकू असा हा पदार्थ.
झटपट होतो व चवदार लागतो.
साहित्य...
*कणिक... 1 वाटी
*रवा... 1 वाटी
*केळे... 1
*गुळ चिरून... 2 वाट्या
*वेलदोडे पुड... 1 चिमूट
*खोबरे किस... 3/4 वाटी
*पाणी... 1 वाटी
*साजुक तुप ...अंदाजे 1/4 वाटी.
कृती...
*मिक्सर च्या भांड्यात केळे चिरून, गुळ, खोबरे कीस, वेलची पुड व 1 वाटी पाणी घालून , वाटून घ्या.
*हे मिश्रण एका भांडयात काढून त्यात रवा व कणिक हळु हळु एकत्र करा.
*१५ मिनिटानी आप्पे पात्र गरम करून तुप घाला, चमचाभर मिश्रण घालून बाजूने तुप सोडा, 2 मिनिटे झाकण ठेवा, झाकण काढून चमच्या ने  फिरवून दुसरी बाजू पण तुप घालून गुलाबी शेकून घ्या.
*गार किंवा गरम दोन्ही छान लागतात.
*इथे ओले नारळ वापरले आहे, सुकल्या खोबऱ्याचा कीस पण वापरू शकता.
