#RenuRasoi  #Aluchi Vadi  #Steamed  #Colocasia #Leaf  #Snack Nowadays, during the monsoon season, very tender and small colocasia (arbi/taro) leaves are growing in my pot.  Since I had very little time today, I prepared this quick version of Aluchi Vadi.  It has the same delicious traditional taste but is much easier and faster to make. Ingredients (1 cup = 150 ml) *Washed & finely chopped colocasia (taro) leaves, – 2 cups *Tamarind – a lemon-sized piece *Gram flour (besan) – 1 cup *Rice flour – ½ cup *Red chilli powder – 3 teaspoons *Salt – 1½ teaspoons *Sugar – 1 teaspoon *Coriander powder – 3 teaspoons *Carom seeds (ajwain) – ¼ teaspoon *Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon *White sesame seeds – 1 tablespoon Method 1. One healthy food with different names throughout India.
This is a very tasty and healthy preparation.
You can eat as a one dish Meal also.
Ingredients...
*Bhagar... 1/2 Cup
1 Cup...400 ml
*Homemade Ghee... 4 tbspn
Or...
Groundnut Oil... 4 tbspn
* Roasted Peanuts Powder... 1/8 th Cup
*Red Pumpkin... peeled and diced...
3/4 Cup
*Cumin seeds... 1/2 tsp
*Red Chilli Powder... 1/2 tsp
*Green Chillies..chopped...2
*Chopped Coriander... 2 tbspn
Method...
*Wash the Bhagar twice, drain out all the water, Keep it aside.
*Now heat Ghee or Oil add Cumin Seeds, after it crackles add Pumpkin, saute on medium flame for 4 minutes.
* Add  chopped green Chillies, Red Chilli Powder, Bhagar and mix properly. Saute for 2 minutes.
* Add roasted Groundnut powder and 2 Cups Water. Add Salt mix properly. Cook on medium flame till all the Water gets absorbed.
Switch off the gas.
*Cover with the lid, serve hot with Curd & Sweet Lemon pickle.
Note...Water for cooking should be 4 Times of Bhagar.

 * भगर ... 1 वाटी
 1 वाटी ... 200 मि.ली.
 * साजूकतूप ... 4 टेबलस्पून
 किंवा...
 शेंगदाणा तेल ... 4 टेबलस्पून
 *भाजलेल्या शेंगदाण्याचे कुट ...1/4 वाटी
 *लाल भोपळा... सालं काढून आणि छोटे चौकोनी तुकडे करून... 1.5 वाटी
 *जिरे ... 1/2 टीस्पून
 *लाल तिखट ... 1/2 टीस्पून
 *हिरव्या मिरच्या .. चिरून ... 2
 *चिरलेली कोथिंबीर ... 2 टेबलस्पून
 कृती..
 * भगर दोनदा धुवा, सर्व पाणी काढून टाका, बाजूला ठेवा.
 * तूप किंवा तेल गरम करून त्यात जिरे  घालावे, तडतडल्यावर त्यात भोपळा घालून  मध्यम आचेवर 5 मिनिटे परतावे.
 * चिरलेली हिरवी मिरची, लाल तिखट, भगर घालून व्यवस्थित एकत्र करावे.  2 मिनिटे परता.
 *त्यात शेंगदाण्याचा कुट आणि 4 वाटी पाणी घाला.  मीठ घालून व्यवस्थित एकत्र करावे.
सर्व पाणी शोषले जाईपर्यंत मध्यम आचेवर शिजू द्यावे.
 गॅस बंद करा.
 *झाकणाने झाकून, दही आणि गोड लिंबू लोणच्या बरोबर गरमा गरम सर्व्ह करा.
