Same quantity of un soaked dal If dal is 3/4 cup...water should be 3/4 th cup  For tadka *Oil...2 tbspn *Mustard seeds... 1/2 tsp *Jeera... 1/2 tsp *Asafoetida powder/ Hing...1/4 tsp *Turmeric ...a pinch (optional) *Green chillies... 4-5(optional) For garnish... *Chopped coriander...1 tbspn *Grated coconut... 1 tbspn Method  *Wash and soak both the dal together for 2.5 hours. *Measure the water. Ingredients... *Spinach finely chopped... 2 cups *Green Methi/Fenugreek leaves... finely chopped... 3 cups *Sweet Corn kernels ...1 cup *Oil... 2 tablespoon *Turmeric powder... 1/4 tsp *Red Chilly Powder ... 1 tsp *Salt...1tsp chopped *Onions chopped... one cup *Mustard seeds.. 1/4 th tsp * Lemon juice...2 tsp Method *Heat Oil in a pan , add Mustard seeds and after it splutters add Onion and Turmeric &Red Chilli Powder. *Saute for 2 minutes add Spinach and Methi leaves , saute on medium flame for 3 minutes. *Now add Sweet Corn kernels and Salt, mix properly and cook till water is fully absorbed. *Add Lemon juice and mix properly. *Goes very well with Dal Rice, or Roti *Even you can add it in Sandwich

Moong Dal Halwa

#RenuRasoi Moong dal halwa This Halwa is a delicious sweet dish. Traditionally it is prepared by soaking moong dal in Water,  grinding it and then roasting it to convert it into a Delicious Halwa. Today we have prepared it very  quickly, to save time. Ingredients... *Yellow moong dal 1 cup *Homemade Ghee... 1/2 Cup *Sugar...1 Cup *Milk ...1 Cup *Water ...1 cup *Khova or Milk Powder 1 cup *Green Cardamom powder... half tsp *Cashews and Almonds.. for garnish Method *Dry grind Moong Dal from the Mixer to a coarse Powder like Semolina. *Heat an Iron Kadhai, add Ghee... when it melts, add grinded Moong Dal. *Roast on low flame till brown in colour. *Then add water and milk ,cook till they both are absorbed in dal. *Add Khova or Milk Powder, saute for 5 minutes. *Add sugar and cook till it becomes a thick mixture. *Add Green Cardamom powder and Nuts. *Serve hot... *You can refrigerate it for 2..3 days. #रेणूरसोई मूग डाळीचा हलवा मूग डाळीचा हलवा म्हटले की आधी डाळ भिज

फोडणीचे पोहे हे नाव जरी घेतले तरी आपल्या डोळ्यांसमोर येते फिक्या पिवळ्या रंगाची पोह्यांची बशी... त्याच्यावर घातलेला तो हिरवागार कोथिंबीर... भुरभुरलेले  खोबरे अहाहा...😋😋 मराठी मनात तर या पोह्यांना अढळ स्थान आहे असे म्हटले तरी हरकत नाही . प्रत्येक घरचा आवडता नाश्ता... फोडणीचे पोहे ... एवढेच कशाल अहो आज किती पिढ्यांचे संसार हे पोहे खाऊन तर जुळले आहेत...❤️ अजूनही आपल्याकडे दाखवण्याचा कार्यक्रम असताना आज आमच्याकडे चहा पोह्यांचा कार्यक्रम आहे असे सांगितले जाते ...  फोडणीचे पोहे हे झटपट होतात ...चवदार व चविष्ट तर लागतातच आणि आरोग्य शास्त्र सांगते की ते पौष्टिक पण आहेत . पोह्यांमध्ये आयर्न आहे... त्या  सोबत त्याला तेल ,मोहरी इतर मसाल्याचे घटक, लिंबू ,कांदा, मिरची यांची जोड...यामुळे ते अजूनच चवदार चविष्ट बनतात. फोडणीचे पोहे हे प्रत्येक विभागानुसार अनेक प्रकारे बनतात ...आमच्याकडे फोडणीचे पोहे नुसता कांदा घालून, भरपूर हिंग व बटाटा घालून, मटार घालून ,फुलकोबी घालून,  कांदे ,बटाटे ,फुलकोबी व मटर एकत्र करून अनेक प्रकारे बनतात... आणि विशेष म्हणजे प्रत्येक प्रकारच्या पोह्यांची चव अतिशय वेगळी

Matar Makhana Veg

This preparation goes well with Dal Rice, Roti, Bhakari ,Paratha... Ingredients *Fresh Green Peas... 1.5 cup 1 Cup....150 ml  *Makhana... 1.5 cup *Roughly chopped Onions... 1 cup *Chopped Tomatoes...1 cup  *Chopped Ginger...1 tsp *Green Chillies Chopped... 3 *Garlic pod... 3 *Red Chilli Powder... 1 tsp *Salt ...1 tsp *Oil ... 5 tbsp *Butter or Ghee... 4 tsp *Mustard Seeds...1/2 tsp *Muskmelon Seeds Powder... 3 tsp Method... *Add chopped Onions, Tomato , Green Chillies, Garlic and Ginger in a pan...add 1 cup water and Cook on low flame till soft. *Let it cool and then make a course paste from the Mixer without adding water. *Heat Oil in  a Kadhai add 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds... When they are prepared at home... it's aroma fulfills all the surroundings ...your neighbour will come to know that hot crispy Onion Pakoda are being made at your home...😄😄 No one can resist eating this when offered... This preparation is without using Soda Bicarbonate which is not at all good for health... Let's see the preparation of pakoda... Ingredients... *Chickpea flour ...1 cup 1 Cup...150 ml *Sliced Onion... one and half cup *Red Chilli Powder ...1 teaspoon  *Ajwain... 1/4 teaspoon *Green Chillies chopped... 3 *Coriander chopped ... one tbsp  *Seasame seeds... 2 teaspoon *Salt ...1teaspoon *Oil... for frying Method... *Mix all ingredients with your hands except Chickpea flour and oil. *Keep this mix at least for 15 minutes. *

Raw Papaya Salad

#RenuRasoi Raw Papaya Salad This preparation of Raw Papaya is very healthy and tasty. Raw Papaya is good for health. This is my mother's Recipe. We call it as Koshimbir... If Asafoetida n Mustard Seeds are  not used in the recipe...it can be a very healthy fasting food...Vrat ka khana... Ingredients... *Grated Raw Papaya....2 Cups *Oil... 1 tbspn *Roasted Peanuts Powder...1/2 Cup *Lemon juice...3 tsp *Sugar...1 tsp *Salt...1/4 tsp *Green Chillies...2 *Dry Red Chilli...1 *Asafoetida powder... a big pinch *Mustard nn Cumi Seeds...a pinch *Chopped Coriander...2 tsp Method... *Brake both the Chillies. *Heat Oil in a pan, add Cumin seeds. *When it splutters add Asafoetida powder, both Chillies, saute for 30 second. *Add grated Raw Papaya, Salt and Sugar....mix properly. Saute for 2 minutes. *Cover with the lid, let it cook on low flame for 3..4 minutes. *Switch off the gas, mix and remove the contents in another pan. *Add Lemon juice and Roasted Peanuts Powder.

Coffee

Ingredients... *Milk... full fat...1.5 Cup *Water...1/2 Cup *Sugar...2 TSP *Bru instant coffee...2 tsp *Water...2 tsp Method... *Mix Milk, Water and Sugar in a pan. *Keep it for boiling on medium flame. *In the meanwhile add 1 tsp Coffee &1 tsp water in each Cup. *Beat this Coffee..water mix with the help of a spoon till it becomes white in colour. *Pour hot boiling Milk from atleast 7..8 inch distance in height. *It will become frothy with a nice design, by using spoon or toothpick adjust the  design on froth. Ingredients... *Boiled Potatoes...3 medium *Chopped Tomatoes...4 medium *Chopped Onion... 1 medium *Chopped Cabbage...2.5 Cup *Green Peas...1 Cup *Green Chillies...3 chopped *Grated Ginger...1 tsp *Garlic pods...4 chopped *Home made Ghee/ Amul Butter...2 tbsp *Red Chilly Powder...1 tsp *Kashmiri Red Chilly Powder...1 tsp *Pav bhaji masala...1 tbsp *Salt...2 TSP *Termeric Powder...1/4 tsp Method.... *Add chopped Onions, Tomato, Cabbage, Green Chilli, Ginger and Garlic pods in a Pressure cooker. #रेणूरसोई पिठले... पिठलं मुळातच चवदार व खमंग लागते. "पिठले-भात"..."पिठले- भाकरी" ही महाराष्ट्रीयन जेवणाची खासियत... नागपुर मध्ये बऱ्याच घरी खिचडी व पिठले करतात. मुळ नागपूरकर त्याला "चुन.. खिचडी" असं म्हणतात... साधे पिठले...पण प्रकार तरी किती... पाण्याला उकळी आणून मग त्याच्यात वरून बेसन टाकून गाठी मोडुन वाफवलेले, बेसन पाण्यात कालवून मग फोडणी दिलेले, नुसतेच मिरची कोथिंबीर घातलेले ,जिरे खोबरे वाटण लावलेले ,ताकातले पिठले, दुधाचे पिठले, लसूणाचे  पिठले, कांद्याचे पिठले ,टमाट्याचे पिठले , कुळीथाच्या पिठाचे आमसूल घालून केलेले पिठले, शेवग्याच्या शेंगा घातलेले पिठले, कांदा टमाटा एकत्र केलेले पिठले, रावण पिठले... आणि हे सगळे प्रकार चवीला वेगवेगळे लागतात... आज मात्र मी अजून एक नवीन प्रकारच्या पिठल्या ची रेसिपी देणार आहे... हा प्रकार मी पहिल्यांदा माझ्या सासूबाईंच्या हातचा खाल्ला....मला फार आवडला... आणि अजून तरी त्या सोडून बाकी कोणी केलेला खाल्लेला नाही... मस्तच करतात त्या हे पिठले... लवंगी चे पिठले.... साहित्य... *बेसन... एक वाटी एक वाटी...150 मिली  *ते

Archana Vinay I have made certain changes...the original Recipe was asking for Onion, Coconut to be grinded ... I have replaced with Garlic n Chickpea flour. By using Tomato  this is prepared. Tomato is the Hero of this Dish... #रेणूरसोई फोडणीचा भात हा आमच्याकडील एक अत्यंत आवडता पदार्थ आहे ...पण त्यासाठी भात हा आदल्या दिवशी रात्री शिजवून ठेवलेला च  हवा. ताजा शिजवलेला भात फोडणी दिला तर तो तितका चांगला लागत नाही... भरपूर मटर ,हिरवी मिरची घालून केलेला भात अफलातून लागतो... साहित्य... *शिजवलेला भात... तीन वाट्या *मटार दाणे... एक वाटी *तेल ...एक टेबलस्पून *हिरव्या मिरच्या... चार *मीठ... 1 टिस्पून *हळद ...चिमुटभर *लिंबू रस... 1टिस्पून *साखर... चिमुटभर *मोहरी व जिरे... 1/4 टिस्पून प्रत्येकी कृती... *भात हाताने मोकळा करून घ्यावा.. एक वाटी तांदळाचा भात शिजवला की अंदाजे तीन वाट्या  भात तयार होतो. *कढईत तेल तापवून मोहरी ...जिरे ची फोडणी करावी. त्यात मिरच्यांचे तुकडे, हिंग ,हळद व मटार दाणे घालून परतावे. *त्यात लगेच मीठ, साखर  व भात घालून झाकण ठेवून तीन-चार मिनिटे वाफ येऊ द्यावी. *नंतर झाकण बाजूला काढून, छान हलवा. वाफ दिल्याने भात छान मोकळा होतो. *नंतर त्यात लिंबू रस व कोथिंबीर घालून गरम गरम फोडणीचा भात सर्व्ह करा. टीप... कधी कधी बदल म्हणून स्वीट कॉर्न, मटर लाल ताजी मिरची घालून करा ....हा प्रकार पण मस्
