A nice combination of Carbs n Proteins.
Proteins are very healthy and should be consumed on regular basis.
Ingredients...
*Raw Rice...3/4 th Cup
1 Cup....400 ml
*Split Blackgram /Udad dal...1/4 Cup
*Split Yellow Moong Dal...1/2 Cup
*Fenugreek Seeds...1/2 tsp
*Water...for Grinding as needed
*Green Chillies chopped...6
*Grated Ginger...1 tsp
*Salt...2.5 tsp
*Chopped Coriander...1 tbsp
*Spring Onions... greens as well as bulbs... finely Chopped... 1Cup
*Fennel seeds...2 tsp
*Black pepper powder... 1 tsp
*Coriander seeds...coarse Powder...2 tsp
*Coconut Oil...1/2 Cup for roasting.
Method...
*Wash and soak Rice & all varieties of  Dal, for 5..6 hours. Also add Fenugreek Seeds while soaking.
*Grind all from the Mixer, by adding minimum water.
The batter should be thicker than Idli batter. Let it ferment overnight or for 6..7 hours.
* Take out the batter in a pan, add Salt, chopped green Chillies, grated ginger, chopped spring onions,  Coriander, fennel seeds, black pepper powder, coarse Coriander seeds...Mix properly.
*Heat Appe pan, add 1/4 tsp Oil in each, let it heat add spoonful of batter, drizzle with Oil and cover with a lid.
*After 2 minutes check, flip with the help of Knife, cook on another side also.
*Serve with any Chutney of your choice.
*Serve hot with Tea or Coffee.

मसाला आप्पे
आप्पे हा एक उत्तम नाश्त्याचा प्रकार आहे
वडे आणि भजी ह्यांच्यापेक्षा कमी तेलकट, पण खूप सुंदर व कुरकुरीत लागतात, अतिशय स्वादिष्ट लागतात.
डाळी म्हणजे प्रोटिन्स चा भरपूर स्त्रोत, पण ते सहज पचावे म्हणुन जोडीला कार्बोहायड्रेट्स पण आवश्यक.
साहित्य...
*तांदूळ... 1.5 वाटी
1 वाटी...200 मिली.
*पिवळी मुग डाळ... 1/2 वाटी
*उडीद डाळ... 1/4 वाटी
*मेथी दाणे... 1/2 टिस्पून
*पाणी... गरजेनुसार वाटण्यासाठी
*हिरवी मिरची चिरून...सहा
*आले किसलेले...1 टीस्पून
*मीठ...3 टीस्पून
*कोथिंबीर चिरून... एक टेबलस्पून
*हिरवा पातीचा कांदा व त्याचे कांदे चिरून....2 वाटी
*बडीशेप.... 2 टीस्पून
*धने जाड भरडून... 2 टीस्पून
*काळी मिरी पुड... 1 टीस्पून
*खोबरेल तेल...1/2 वाटी आपले तळण्यासाठी
कृती...
* तांदूळ,  उडीद डाळ,मुगाची डाळ
स्वच्छ धुऊन 5..6 तास भिजत घाला. सोबत मेथी दाणे पण भिजत घाला. 
* नंतर भिजलेले धान्य मिक्सरमधून कमीत कमी पाणी घालून वाटुन घ्या.
पीठ फार पातळ नको, इडली पीठापेक्षा घट्ट हवे.
हे पीठ रात्रभर किंवा 6..7 तास आंबवून घ्या.
* सकाळी एका भांड्यात काढून, त्यात मीठ, हिरवी मिरची, आलेकिस, शोप, धनेपूड, मिरेपूड, चिरलेली कांदा पात व चिरलेली कोथिंबीर घालून छान एकत्र करा.
*आप्पे पात्र मंद गॅसवर तापवून त्यात प्रत्येकात 1/4 चमचा तेल घालून गरम करावे, एक एक छोटा चमचा पीठ घालून झाकण ठेवून, दोन मिनिटांनी खालील बाजु पलटवुन दुसऱ्या बाजूने पण गुलाबी रंगावर भाजून घ्या.
*गरम गरम आप्पे तुमच्या आवडीच्या चटणी सोबत सर्व्ह करा.
