#RenuRasoi  #Aluchi Vadi  #Steamed  #Colocasia #Leaf  #Snack Nowadays, during the monsoon season, very tender and small colocasia (arbi/taro) leaves are growing in my pot.  Since I had very little time today, I prepared this quick version of Aluchi Vadi.  It has the same delicious traditional taste but is much easier and faster to make. Ingredients (1 cup = 150 ml) *Washed & finely chopped colocasia (taro) leaves, – 2 cups *Tamarind – a lemon-sized piece *Gram flour (besan) – 1 cup *Rice flour – ½ cup *Red chilli powder – 3 teaspoons *Salt – 1½ teaspoons *Sugar – 1 teaspoon *Coriander powder – 3 teaspoons *Carom seeds (ajwain) – ¼ teaspoon *Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon *White sesame seeds – 1 tablespoon Method 1. Hing Chutney

This Chutney is very flavourful & tasty too...😋😋😋
Goes very well with Idli, Dosa or in regular Meals too.
Very easy to prepare...
Ingredients...
*Grated fresh Coconut...1/2 Cup
*Roasted Chana Dal/ Dalya...1/2 Cup
*Red Chilli Powder...1.5 tsp
*Salt...1/4 tsp or little more
*Tamarind Pulp...3 tsp
*Asafoetida/Hing...1/4 tsp
For tempering...
*Oil... 2 tsp
*Mustard Seeds...1/4 tsp
*Curry leaves...5..6
Method...
*Grind in a Mixer Jar roasted Chana Dal without adding water.
*Add grated Coconut, Red Chilli Powder, Asafoetida, Salt, Tamarind Pulp. Grind all without adding water.
*Add 3/4 th Cup water, grind to a smooth paste.
*Pour Chutney in a pot.
*For tempering...
*Heat Oil in a pan, add Mustard Seeds, let it splutter, switch off the gas. Add Curry Leaves.
*Pour this over the chutney. Cover with the lid immediately to infuse the flavours. Remove the lid, mix properly.
*Serve with Idli, Dosa or in regular Meals.
Note... 1)You can use dry grated coconut instead of fresh coconut.
2) Use lemon juice or Raw mango instead of tamarind pulp.

या चटणीला मुख्य स्वाद हिंगाचा असल्यामुळे हिचे नाव हिंगा ची चटणी असे आहे...
ही चटणी अतिशय खमंग व चवदार लागते. आपण हि चटणी इडली, डोसा, वडा यासोबत तर खाऊ शकतो पण रोजच्या जेवणात देखील उत्तम लागते.
हि एक दाक्षिणात्य प्रकाराची चटणी आहे. साहित्य..
*किसलेले ओले खोबरे....अर्धी वाटी
*फुटाण्याच्या डाळ्या... अर्धी वाटी
*तिखट... दीड टीस्पून
*मीठ... पाव टिस्पून किंवा थोडे जास्त
*हिंग पुड ....पाव टी स्पून
*चिंचेचा कोळ... 3 टिस्पून
फोडणीकरता साहित्य...
*तेल... दोन टीस्पून
*मोहरी...पाव टिस्पून
*कढीलिंबाची पाने ....सहा सात
कृती...
*फुटाण्याच्या डाळ्या कोरड्याच मिक्सर मधून वाटून घ्या.
*नंतर त्यात खोबरे किस,तिखट,मीठ, हिंग पुड व चिंचेचा कोळ घालून छान बारीक वाटून घ्या. *नंतर त्यात पाऊण वाटी पाणी घालून चटणी पुन्हा एकजीव होईपर्यंत वाटून घ्या.
*चटणी एका भांड्यात काढून घ्या.
*फोडणीसाठी तेल तापवून त्यात मोहरी घालून तडतडल्यावरडल्यावर गॅस बंद करा, लगेच कढीपत्त्याची पाने फोडणीत घाला.
*फोडणी चटणी मध्ये घालून लगेच झाकण ठेवा. त्यामुळे फोडणी छान पैकी पदार्थात मुरते.
*तीन-चार मिनिटांनी झाकण काढून ढवळून चटणी इडली, वडा ,दोसा किंवा रोजच्या जेवणात सर्व्ह करा.
टिप...
1) तुम्ही ओल्या नारळाच्या ऐवजी सुक्या खोबऱ्याचा कीस वापरु शकता.

2) चिंचेचा कोळ न घालता लिंबाचा रस किंवा कच्ची कैरी किसून पण छान लागते.
