#RenuRasoi  #Aluchi Vadi  #Steamed  #Colocasia #Leaf  #Snack Nowadays, during the monsoon season, very tender and small colocasia (arbi/taro) leaves are growing in my pot.  Since I had very little time today, I prepared this quick version of Aluchi Vadi.  It has the same delicious traditional taste but is much easier and faster to make. Ingredients (1 cup = 150 ml) *Washed & finely chopped colocasia (taro) leaves, – 2 cups *Tamarind – a lemon-sized piece *Gram flour (besan) – 1 cup *Rice flour – ½ cup *Red chilli powder – 3 teaspoons *Salt – 1½ teaspoons *Sugar – 1 teaspoon *Coriander powder – 3 teaspoons *Carom seeds (ajwain) – ¼ teaspoon *Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon *White sesame seeds – 1 tablespoon Method 1. Potato Poha

Poha also known as beaten Rice.
Poha when  made with different combination of vegetables is a yummy dish for a breakfast.
 It is not only tasty,😋 but healthy too..
Poha contains lots of Iron and when combined with vegetables and a very nice tempering of mustard seeds it gives a nice aromatic flavour...
 When served with freshly grated Coconut  and Coriander it tastes amazing...
Today I have prepared Poha with Crispy Potato with a flavour of Asafoetida and a dash of lemon juice....
Ingredients...
*Thick Beaten Rice /Poha...2 Cups
1 Cup...150 ml
*Diced Potatoes...1 Cup
*Asafoetida Powder...1/4 tsp
*Grated Coconut ...1 tablespoon 
*Coriander... 1 tablespoon
*Green Chillies...3
*Lemon juice... 2 tsp
*Sugar ...1.5  tsp
*Salt ...1.5 tsp
*Oil...5 tablespoon
*Mustard Seeds...1/4 tsp
*Turmeric powder...1/4 tsp
Method...
*Wash Poha thoroughly in  the Colander...keep it aside.
*Heat Oil in a Kadhai , add diced Potatoes and let them cook on  medium flame till Golden brown.
Keep them aside.
*Now in the same remaining Oil add Mustard seeds and let them splutter...add immediately Asafoetida Powder, Turmeric and chopped Green Chillies.
*Add washed Poha, Sugar n Salt.
*Mix them properly, add two tablespoon water & Lemon Juice , again mix properly.
*Cover with a lid, let it cook on medium flame for 3..4 minutes.
*Remove the lid after 3..4 minutes, add diced Potatoes...mix properly.
*Switch off the gas.
*Serve with fresh Coriander n grated Coconut.

फोडणीचे पोहे हा झटपट होणारा लोकप्रिय व आवडीचा नाश्ता...
पण ते पोहे मात्र उत्तम जमले पाहिजे...
छान चवदार व म‌उ पोहे खायला मिळाले की सुखच सुख...
कांदे पोहे तर छान लागतात च पण मला कांदा न टाकता केलेले खमंग बटाटे पोहे पण फार आवडतात... सकाळी सकाळी असे पोहे म्हणजे दिवसाची उत्तम सुरूवात...
साहित्य...
*जाड पोहे ...दोन वाट्या भरून
एक वाटी...150 मिली
*तेल...  चार टेबलस्पून
*बटाटे एकसारखे चौकोनी आकारात चिरून... एक वाटी
*हिरव्या मिरच्या तिखट... तीन
*हळद ...पाव टी स्पून
*मोहरी ...पाव टी स्पून
*मीठ...दीड टीस्पून
*साखर... दीड टीस्पून
*हिंग पूड...पाव टीस्पून
*लिंबू रस... दोन टीस्पून
*कोथिंबीर चिरून ...एक टेबल स्पून
*खोबरे कीस... एक टेबलस्पून
कृती...
*पोहे रोळीमध्ये घेऊन त्याला  स्वच्छ पाण्याने धुऊन घ्या... पोहे बुडतील इतके पाणी घालून धुऊन घ्या व ती रोळीबाजूला ठेवून द्या.
*एका कढईत तेल तापवायला ठेवून त्यात बटाट्याच्या फोडी घालून मध्यम आचेवर एकसारख्या सोनेरी तपकिरी रंगावर तळून बाजूला काढून ठेवा.
*त्याच कढईत  उरलेल्या तेलात  मोहरी घाला, मोहरी तडतडल्यानंतर हिरव्या मिरचीचे तुकडे, हिंग व हळद घाला.
*मग त्यात मीठ,साखर व धुतलेले पोहे घाला, सगळे एकत्र करा.
*त्याच्यात दोन टेबलस्पून पाणी व लिंबूरस घाला ,आणि सगळं छान एकत्र करून झाकण ठेवून मध्यम आचेवर तीन चार मिनिटं वाफ येऊ द्या.
*तीन-चार मिनिटांनी झाकण बाजूला काढून छान एकत्र करा.
*मग बाजूला काढून ठेवलेल्या बटाटे फोडी घालून एकत्र करा.
*कोथिंबीर व खोबरे घालून गरम गरम पोहे सर्व्ह करा.
