A little homemade ghee on a hot poli, served with bhaji, amti, dal or curd—pure comfort food! 😋 Ingredients 1 Cup... 150 ml. *Whole wheat flour... 2 Cup  *Salt... 1/2 tsp  *Oil ... 2 tbsp  *Water as required ... 1.5 Cup approximately  *Oil or ghee for folding *Wheat flour for  dusting and rolling. Method *Combine wheat flour and salt . Add water gradually and knead  into a soft dough. Water Chestnut Thalipith

This is a delicacy consumed  while fasting.

But anyone can  have this as the normal Breakfast dish also. 

Water   Chestnuts and Amaranth are  full of  Nutritional values.. 

Nice balance dish full of Carbs and Proteins.

Ingredients...

*Water Chestnuts flour...1.5 Cup

*Amaranth flour...1/2 Cup

*Roasted Peanuts Powder...1/2 cup

*Chopped Coriander...1 tbsp

*Green Chillies chopped...2

*Red Chilly Powder...1 tsp

*Salt...1.5 tsp

*Cumin seeds...1/4 tsp

*Homemade Ghee...for Roasting

Method...

*Mix all the ingredients except Ghee, make a soft dough using water if required.

*Heat the Iron Tawa, spread Ghee, switch off the gas.

*Take a Tennis ball size Dough, spread it with your palms on Tawa, use little water for spreading if required. Size should be 5 inch width or like Roti approximately.

*Make a whole in the centre, it helps to cook better as well as makes it crispy.

*Drizzle Ghee from the sides as well as in the centre.

*Cover it with the lid, put on the Gas.

*Let it cook for 2 minutes, remove the lid.  

*Flip make it crispy from another side too by using Ghee. No need to use lid.

*Serve hot with Curd.

शिंगाड्याचे थालीपीठ
शिंगाडे हे तलावात होणारे फळ...फार पौष्टिक व चवदार लागतात...
साधारण आॅगस्ट महिन्या पासून मिळायला सुरुवात होते ते डिसेंबर च्या पहिल्या आठवड्या पर्यंत ताजे शिंगाडे मिळतात....फार टोकदार काटे दोन्ही बाजूला असतात...
विदर्भात छोट्या आवळ्याच्या आकाराचे मिळतात...कच्चे शिंगाडे हिरवे.. तपकिरी रंगाचे असतात. कच्चे फार कमी प्रमाणात मिळतात.
मीठाच्या पाण्यात उकडलेले काळ्या रंगाचे होतात... दोन्ही बाजुचे काटे अडकित्त्याने कापून ताजे शिंगाडे हातगाडीवर किंवा फळवाल्यांकडे मिळतात.
बाजारात एखाद्या आजी किंवा मावशी पण टोपली भर शिंगाडे घेऊन...कापत विकत असतात.
उत्तर भारतात मात्र हे शिंगाडे आॅक्टोबर महिन्या पासून मिळायला सुरुवात होते.... मोठे लिंबाएवढे आकार...पातळ साल... खायला खुप खुसखुशीत व गोड असतात...ते जास्त करून कच्चे खाल्ले जातात.
हे शिंगाडे वाळले की सुपारी सारखे कडक होतात...ते दळून पीठ करून शिरा, वडे, थालीपीठ असे अनेक उपवासाचे पदार्थ केले जातात.
तेंव्हा आज पाहू या शिंगाड्याचे थालीपिठ...
उपास नसताना पण खा, खुप पौष्टिक आहे😋😋....
पचायला सुध्दा हलकं आहे...☺️☺️

साहित्य...
* शिंगाडा पीठ... 1.5 वाटी
*राजगिरा पीठ... 1/4 वाटी,
*जाडसर दाणे कुट... 1/2 वाटी,
*मिरची ...2 चिरून,
*कोथिंबीर चिरून ...1 टेबलस्पून
*लाल तिखट...1 टीस्पून
*मीठ ...1.5 टीस्पून
*जिरे...1/4 टिस्पून
*तूप ... आवश्यकतेनुसार
कृती...
*तुप सोडून बाकी सगळे साहित्य एकत्र करा, गरजेपुरते पाणी वापरून थालीपिठ चे पीठ भिजवा.
*लोखंडी तवा गरम करून तेल लावा. हाताला पाणी लावून थालीपिठ थापून घ्या. मध्ये व बाजूला छिद्र करा, त्यात व बाजूने तुप सोडून झाकण ठेवा.
*२ मिनीटांनी झाकण काढा.
*दोन्ही बाजूनी कुरकुरीत होऊ द्या.
*दह्याच्या वाटी सोबत सर्व्ह करा.
