It is having the good ness of Mint, Coriander Onion and also Curd.  Very tasty and not much oil or ghee is used.  Everyone lin your family will love this.  Ingredients...  *Small baby Potatoes ... 500 gms   *Fresh home made curd... 1/2 liter  *Finely chopped fresh mint leaves... 2 tbsp   *Finely chopped fresh coriander...2 tbsp   *Finely chopped Onion... 2 tbsp  *Green Chilies... 2 cut into Big pieces   *Coriander seeds powder... 2 tsp   *Cumin seeds powder... 1/2 tsp   *Black Salt... 1/2 tsp   *Normal Salt... 1 tsp   *Sugar... 3 tsp   *Oil - for frying potatoes... 2 tbsp   * Homemade/ pure Ghee... 1 tbsp   *Cumi...

This is a healthy and tasty Curd Rice.
This is my mother's recipe which she prepares especially in summer.
We are eating this from so many year's.
The name Basi Bhat may be because this Rice is cooked in the previous night and then ate in the next day morning as breakfast.
This Rice is high in nutritional value and helps to strengthen body immunity and remove anaemia and iron deficiency.
“When normal rice is soaked for 8-12 hours in water, Phytic acid reacts with water and creates lactic acid which increases the nutrient quality of rice."
Ingredients...
*Raw Rice...1/2 Cup
1 Cup...400 ml
*Homemade Curd... 1 Cup
*Milk... 1/2 Cup
*Oil .. 2 tbspn
*Sugar... 2 tsp... optional
*Salt... 1 tsp
*Mustard and Cumin Seeds... 1/4 tsp each
*Asafoetida Powder... a pinch
*Ground Nuts... 2 tbspn
*Pomegranate seeds... 2 tbspn
*Chopped Coriander... 2 tsp
Method...
*Cook the Rice by adding 1.5 cups water .... thrice the quantity of Rice.
I have cooked this on direct Gas stove.
If you are cooking in pressure cooker, add twice water.
Let this Rice be cool.
Add water in Rice till it gets fully covered.
*Next morning squeeze the Rice by pressing in both hands and drain out the Water.
*Add Curd, Milk, Sugar and Salt.
Mix properly...
*Now heat the Oil, add Mustard & Cumin Seeds. After it splutters add Asafoetida Powder and Peanuts.
*Saute Peanuts till crispy, add this in Curd Rice.
*Mix properly. Garnish with Pomegranate seeds and Coriander.
*Enjoy your Breakfast.
Note...
*You can do this with your leftover Rice also.

हा एक पौष्टिक पण चवदार असा दही भाताचा प्रकार आहे.
ही माझ्या आईची रेसिपी आहे जी आम्ही विशेष करुन उन्हाळ्यात आवर्जून खातो.
आम्ही गेल्या अनेक वर्षांपासून  हा  भात उन्हाळ्यात न्याहारीसाठी खात आहोत.
 बासी भात म्हणजे आदल्या दिवशी रात्री शिजवून केलेला भात म्हणुन कदाचित हे नाव पडले असावे.
 हा भात पौष्टिक मूल्यांनी परिपूर्ण आहे आणि शरीराची प्रतिकारशक्ती मजबूत करण्यात, व अशक्तपणा आणि लोहाची कमतरता दूर करण्यास मदत करतो.
 “जेव्हा आपण भात  8..12 तास पाण्यात भिजवून ठेवतो  तेंव्हा  पाण्याबरोबर प्रतिक्रिया होऊन लैक्टिक acid तयार होते ज्यामुळे तांदुळाचे पोषण मुल्य‌‌‌ वाढते.”
 साहित्य ...
 * तांदूळ ... 1 वाटी
 1वाटी ... 200 मि.ली.
 * घरी केलेले दही ...2 वाटी
 * दूध ... 1 वाटी
 * तेल .. 2 टेबलस्पून
 * साखर ... 2 टीस्पून ... ऐच्छिक
 * मीठ ... 1 टीस्पून
 * मोहरी आणि जिरे ... प्रत्येकी १/4 टीस्पून
 * हिंग पुड ... एक चिमूटभर
 * शेंगदाणे... 2 टेबलस्पून
 * डाळिंब दाणे ... 2 टेबलस्पून
 * चिरलेली कोथिंबीर ... 2 टीस्पून
 कृती ...
 * तांदूळात 1.5 कप पाणी घालून भात शिजवावा .... तांदुळाच्या तिप्पट पाणी असे प्रमाण आहे.
 मी हा भात  गॅस वर भांडे ठेवून शिजवला आहे. 
तुम्ही प्रेशर कूकर मध्ये केला तर दुप्पट पाणी घालून करा.
भात गार होऊ द्या.
 भाता मध्ये भात बुडेल एवढे पाणी घालून झाकून ठेवा.
 * दुसर्‍या दिवशी सकाळी दोन्ही हातात दाबून भात पिळून पाणी काढून घ्या.
 *त्यामध्ये दही, दूध, साखर आणि मीठ घाला.
 व्यवस्थित छान एकत्र कालवून घ्या.
 * आता तेल गरम करून त्यात मोहरी आणि जिरे  घालुन, तडतडल्यावरल्यावर त्यात हिंग आणि शेंगदाणे घाला.
 * शेंगदाणा कुरकुरीत होईस्तोवर परतावे आणि दही भाता मध्ये घालून छान एकत्र करा..श
 *डाळिंब दाणे आणि कोथिंबिरीने सजवा.
 टीप ...
 * आपण आपल्या उरलेल्या भाताचा देखील असा  करू शकतो.
