#RenuRasoi  #Aluchi Vadi  #Steamed  #Colocasia #Leaf  #Snack Nowadays, during the monsoon season, very tender and small colocasia (arbi/taro) leaves are growing in my pot.  Since I had very little time today, I prepared this quick version of Aluchi Vadi.  It has the same delicious traditional taste but is much easier and faster to make. Ingredients (1 cup = 150 ml) *Washed & finely chopped colocasia (taro) leaves, – 2 cups *Tamarind – a lemon-sized piece *Gram flour (besan) – 1 cup *Rice flour – ½ cup *Red chilli powder – 3 teaspoons *Salt – 1½ teaspoons *Sugar – 1 teaspoon *Coriander powder – 3 teaspoons *Carom seeds (ajwain) – ¼ teaspoon *Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon *White sesame seeds – 1 tablespoon Method 1. This is a traditional Maharashtrian dish prepared with multigrain flour.

Generally we prepare a specially roasted flour called as "thalipita chi bhajani"

 But when there is no bhajani in the house, this thalipeeth can be made with the following mixed flour.

It is very crispy and tastes beautiful and tasty.

 This thalipeeth is made of jawari flour, jawari flour should be eaten in summer. This is prepared with  lots of onion and coriander both are cool in nature.

 The pungent smell of onion wafts through the house... the Thalipeeth tastes delicious

 Let's see Thalipeeth made with mixed flour..

 One cup...150 ml.

 * Sorghum/Jawar flour... one cup 

 *Rice flour... half cup

 *Besan ...half cup 

 * Chopped Coriander.. Two Tablespoon

 *Chopped onion ...one cup

 *Chop green chillies...three

*Sesame seeds...1 tsp

 *Red chilli powder...one and half tsp

 *Salt ... one and half ateaspoon

 * Coriander powder...one tsp

 *A pinch of caraway seeds 

 *Turmeric ...one fourth tsp 

 * Coconut oil... 1/4 th Cup...for roasting 

 Method 

 * Combine sorghum and rice flour, and besan and roast in a pan on low flame for two to three minutes.  When it cools, mix all the other ingredients except oil, slowly add water and make a soft dough.

 *The dough should be so soft, that you can spread it by patting with your hands. Spread oil on the iron tawa/ pan and pat the tennis ball size dough with wet hand's. Use of water makes it easy to spread.

 * Thalipeeth is thicker than normal roti. If you take dough that is the size of a tennis ball, spread it upto five to six inches and pat the thalipeeth.

बरेच वेळा थालीपीठ खायची इच्छा होते.
पण घरात भाजणी नसते अशा वेळेला हे खालील मिश्र पीठ वापरून केलेले थालीपीठ खूप कुरकुरीत होते व सुंदर आणि चवदार लागते.
हे थालीपीठ ज्वारीच्या पिठाचे आहे, ज्वारीचे पीठ उन्हाळ्यात खाल्ले पाहिजे. भरपुर कांदा व कोथिंबीर मुळे पण थंडावा मिळतो.
कांद्याचा खमंग सुवास घरभर दरवळतो... थालीपीठ चवदार लागते
पाहू या मिश्र पीठाने केलेले थालीपीठ..
एक वाटी...१५० मिली.
* ज्वारी पीठ... एक वाटी
*तांदूळ पीठ... अर्धी वाटी
*बेसन ...अर्धी वाटी
*चिरलेली कोथिंबीर.. दोन टेबलस्पून     
*चिरलेला कांदा ...एक वाटी
*हिरव्या मिरच्या चिरून ...तीन
*तिखट ...दीड टीस्पून
*मीठ ... दिड टीस्पून
*धनेपूड...एक टिस्पून
*चिमूटभर‌ ओवा
*हळद ...पाव टी स्पून
*तीळ... एक टिस्पून 
* खोबरेल तेल...पाव वाटी
कृती...
*ज्वारी व तांदूळ पीठ, व बेसन एकत्र  करून कढ‌ईत मंद आचेवर दोन तीन मिनिटे भाजून घेणे. मग  गार झाल्यावर तेल सोडून बाकी सर्व साहित्य एकत्र करून, हळूहळू पाणी घालून  भिजवणे.
*भाकरीच्या पीठ सारखं सैल हवे.. तव्यावर तेल पसरवून हाताने थालीपीठ पाण्याच्या हाताने थापून घ्या.
* थालीपीठ हे भाकरी पेक्षा ही जाडसर असते.साधारण टेनिस बॉल एवढे पीठ घेतले तर पाच..सहा इंच पसरवून थालीपीठ थापावे.
*थालीपीठात चार पाच भोक पाडून त्या मध्ये तेल घालून व बाजूला पण तेल सोडून , झाकण ठेवून एका बाजूने कुरकुरीत भाजून दुसऱ्या बाजूने
*झाकण न ठेवता कुरकुरीत लाल करून घ्या. आपले खमंग थालीपीठ तयार आहे..
