Ingredients *Yellow moong dal...5 tbspn *Chana dal... 5 tbspn *Eno fruit salt...1 tsp *Cumin seeds...1/2 tsp  *Salt...1.5 tsp *Lemon juice... 1 tbspn *Oil...2 tbspn  *Garlic pods..6 *Grated ginger...1.5 tsp *Water... Same quantity of un soaked dal If dal is 3/4 cup...water should be 3/4 th cup  For tadka *Oil...2 tbspn *Mustard seeds... 1/2 tsp *Jeera... 1/2 tsp *Asafoetida powder/ Hing...1/4 tsp *Turmeric ...a pinch (optional) *Green chillies... 4-5(optional) For garnish... *Chopped coriander...1 tbspn *Grated coconut... 1 tbspn Method  *Wash and soak both the dal together for 2.5 hours. *Measure the water. This is the sour fruit available in Rainy season only. We prepare many varieties of it, today I have prepared a Tangy Panchamrut.
Panchamrut means Nector of five flavours...
Sweet, Salty, Sour, Bitter n Chilly..(Tikha)
Ingredients....
•Deseeded Karvanda 1.5 Cups
•Jaggery 1/4 th Cup
•Rosted Groundnut Powder 2 tsp
•Grated Coconut 2 tsp
•Fenugreek seeds 1/4 tsp
•Mustard n Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp each
•Asafoetida Powder a pinch
•Oil 1/2 tbspn
•Red Chilly Powder 1 tsp
 •Salt 1/2 tsp
•Turmeric 1/4 tsp
•Water 1.5 Cup.
Method...
•Heat Oil in the pan, add Fenugreek, Mustard n Cumin seeds.
•After it splutters add Turmeric Powder, add karvanda and  saute for 3 minutes.
•Add Asafoetida Powder.
•Add Jaggery, Red Chilly Powder n Salt.
•Saute for 2 mts, add Water
•You can adjust Jaggery as per your taste
•Add Groundnut Powder n Grated Coconut...
•Let it cook ...till karvanda becomes soft.
Ready...
Goes very well with Dal Rice or Roti as side dish.

Pakatil Puri рдкाрдХाрддीрд▓ рдкुрд▒्рдпा

  Pakatil Purya... рдкाрдХाрддीрд▓ рдкुрд▒्рдпा It's a typical maharashtrian sweet dish... Very easy to prepare and delicious too. Ingredients... *Fine semolina...1 Cup  1 Cup...150 ml *Sugar .... 1 Cup  *Desi ghee in liquid form.... 2 tsp *Curd...1/2 Cup... approximately *Ghee...for deep frying *Green cardamom powder...1/4 tsp *Dry fruits Powder...2 tbsp... optional  Recipe...  *Add ghee in semolina and just pulse it from the mixer. Remove from the mixer and take it in a pan. *Make a dough by using curd only. Dough should not be too hard or too soft. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes. *Now roll the dough into small Puri's. I have made bite size. *Deep fry Puri in ghee till light pink in colour. *You can store these by preparing it in a day in advance. *Take 1/2 cup sugar in a heavy base pan. Add 1/4 th Cup water. Put it on a gas on medium flame. *Let sugar dissolve and when it starts boiling reduce the gas flame. Let it boil for 3..4 minutes.  *Switch off the gas. Add 1/4 tsp green cardam
